Contributing to the Project
We get a lot of emails along the lines of
"I'd really like to help your project but I can't code"
There are lots of other things we can always do with extra help on. If you think you can do any of the following then let us know:
- Proofreading the help guides
- Supplying test files that you don't mind being public domain
- Checking the website for spelling and broken links
- Voicing an opinion on improving the programs user interface
- Translating to another language
- Researching possible new features (finding file standards, researching their licenses etc)
- Graphics designing
- Testing the compilation for errors
- Packaging the program into binary format
- Programming in C++ and/or Qt
- Giving advice/feedback on Markup based output such as SVG or RML. Also help with XDR schema checking.
- Porting to another platform
If you want to make a start immediately, have a look at the testing page, which helps you get started testing and helping the project.
